Divisional Profile

The division covers both urban and rural areas and its headquarters is based at Airedale House, Royd Ings Avenue, Keighley.

Policing centres around the wards of: Keighley Central, West and East , Craven, Worth Valley, Ilkley, Wharfedale, Bingley, Bingley Rural, Shipley, Baildon, Windhill and Wrose , Eccleshill, Thackley and Idle, Bolton and Undercliffe, Heaton and Frizinghall, Thornton and Allerton, Clayton and Fairweather Green.

As well as the divisional headquarters in Keighley there are sub-stations in Shipley, Bingley, Eccleshill and Ilkley.

The division attracts tourists to Ilkley and Haworth – home of the famous Bronte sisters and the Keighley and Worth Valley Light Railway – as well as the tourist attraction of Saltaire, Salts Mill, and Shipley Glen. The large Inland Revenue Centre and the Headquarters of the Bradford Health Authority are also based in the division.
