Advice and information on preventing commerical burglary.
Insecure or Sneak-In burglary accounts for approximately 1 in 4 burglaries across West Yorkshire.  This method of entering someone’s home only occurs if a door or window has been left open or unlocked.  It only takes a minute to prevent it and costs nothing other than your to time to stop it from happening.
Anti Burglary Campaign - Autumn / Winter 2016. As burglaries often increase during the Autumn and Winter months - taking simple measures such as locking your doors and windows, not leaving valuables on display and using your alarm can significantly reduce your chances of being a victim.
Burglaries often increase during the Spring and Summer months, when burglars take advantage of people leaving doors and windows open during the warmer weather.
Having your vehicle stolen can be extremely upsetting and have a major impact on your daily routine – getting to work, dropping the kids off at school or running a business.  Car Key burglaries account for just under 10% of burglaries in West Yorkshire and some of the makes and models stolen include VW Golf, Vauxhall Astra, Ford Focus, Ford Fiesta, Audi A3 and Vauxhall Corsa.  The vehicles stolen may end up getting written off, used in other criminal offences, sold on or broken down for parts.

Monday 15 January 2024 A man has been jailed for 4 years for an aggravated burglary in Bradford.    On 25 July last year at around 3.30pm a group of masked males including Creddy Taylor was armed with a machete when they smashed entry into a property on Wentworth Crescent.   
Friday 4 August 2023  Police in Kirklees are appealing for information following a number of burglaries yesterday in Holmfirth and Huddersfield. 
Wednesday 17 January 2024 A prolific burglar from Bradford has been sentenced to 11 years after he admitted to a string of offences.  Luke Darling 29 of no fixed abode admitted to 5 residential burglaries, 1 aggravated burglary, 3 robberies and one count of criminal damage.  
Tuesday 7 November 2023 Police are asking for the public’s help to identify this man who officers want to speak to in connection with a burglary offence.   Officers are investigating the burglary which took place at a property on Balme Street in the early hours of 13 September.  
Wednesday 4 October 2023 Police have released an image of a man they are keen to speak to in relation to a burglary in Batley.  Officers are investigating a burglary at a property on Market Place on 29 September where a bank card was stolen. 
Thursday 25 August 2023 A new dedicated team has been set up in Bradford to tackle burglaries across the district.   The District Crime Team (DCT) has been created to combat the rise in burglaries across the area. 
Monday 13 November 2023 Police have released a CCTV image of two men they would like to speak to in connection with a burglary in Pudsey. 
Wednesday 13 March 2024Police in Bradford have issued the image of a man wanted in connection with a burglary.  Jakub Kotlar, 22 is wanted for a burglary which occurred in June last year at a property on Haycliffe Terrace.  Extensive enquiries have been carried out to locate Kotlar.
