Friday July 21 2023 A 'shameless' Leeds burglar who tunnelled into a neighbour’s cellar to steal property has been jailed.  Josef Ziga (51) from Leeds was sentenced to three years six months at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday 20 July after pleading guilty to a burglary in Leeds in January.  
Friday June 2, 2023 Prolific burglars who targeted homes across West Yorkshire have been jailed for more than six years each.
Wednesday 17 January 2024 A prolific burglar from Bradford has been sentenced to 11 years after he admitted to a string of offences.  Luke Darling 29 of no fixed abode admitted to 5 residential burglaries, 1 aggravated burglary, 3 robberies and one count of criminal damage.  
Friday, 11 August 2023  Two men have been jailed for more than 20 years after a gun was fired inside a house in Leeds during an argument which resulted in a neighbouring property’s window being smashed.
Burglars like to ‘work’ unseen and prefer empty houses. A home without lights on and surrounded by darkness signals that not only is the house empty, but that a would be burglar can operate unseen. A house in this situation is a much more likely target.Take a few simple measures to reduce the likelihood of being burgled.

Monday 13th June 2020 saw the celebration of Neighbourhood Watch becoming a part of communities throughout West Yorkshire. We had planned to celebrate in style with an event designed to say thank you to our hard working Neighbourhood Watch Volunteers, at our Carr Gate Training Centre, but unfortunately due to lock down restrictions at the time this was not able to go ahead.

Friday, 26 January 2024  Five men have been jailed for nearly 19 years after police raided a cannabis farm in Leeds.   The men were given sentences ranging from 36 months to 56 months when they appeared at Leeds Crown Court today (Friday).
