Monday, 6 November, 2023 Police in Wakefield are investigating following a burglary at a Sainsbury’s store on Alverthorpe Road this morning.  A report was received shortly after 1.30am this morning that a JCB forklift had collided into the store.

On Tuesday 19th March 2024  one of our Neighbourhood PCSO's recovered a stolen vehicle in Chapel Allerton which had been stolen in a burglary from December 2023 in the Moortown area.
Saturday January 20, 2024 Police are advising drivers to be vigilant following recent attempts by thieves to steal higher value cars from Wakefield homes.
