Appeal: Assault- Bradford City Centre

Police in Bradford are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in the city centre.
Shortly after 9pm last night (13/7) police were called to the Westgate area where a 37-year-old man was found with a serious head injury.
He was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary before being transferred to Leeds General Infirmary, where he remains in a serious condition this morning.
An area close to the junction between Westgate and Goodwin Street was sealed off for forensic examination and that scene remains in place this morning.
Detective Inspector Nicola Bryar, from Bradford CID, appealed to motorists who may have seen the incident last night to contact police.
She said: "We were notified about this incident from a passing motorist who made one of our officers aware.
"I would ask anyone who was driving past, or was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious, to get in touch."

A 16-year-old local male remains in police custody this morning after being arrested on suspicion of assault.
