Appeal: Assault, Leeds City Centre

Police are appealing for information after a 24-year-old local man was injured following an unprovoked assault in Leeds City Centre.
The incident occurred on 30 May around 6pm as the victim walked with friends near to the junction of George Street and Vicar Lane. At this point a male suspect confronted the victim and struck him in the face with a bottle before making off on foot in the direction of the Headrow.
The victim suffered a serious facial injury that required surgery.
Officers have released CCTV footage of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.
