Appeal: Assault, Moorend Road, Lockwood, Huddersfield.

Huddersfield CID are appealing for witnesses after a 29-year old man was assaulted in Lockwood last night (2/8).
At around 7:30pm the 29-year old was in his silver car, parked on Moorend Road, near to the junction with Walpole Road, when he was approached by a group of around seven men.
In an unprovoked attack, the suspects dragged the victim from the car and assaulted him, before fleeing the scene.
The victim was able to get to a friend in a nearby vehicle, by which time, police and the ambulance service had arrived at the scene.
The victim was taken to HRI for treatment to wounds to his head and body and is currently still in hospital in a stable condition.
He has so far only been able to describe his attackers as a group of around seven men.
