Appeal: Burglary, Copley Avenue, Meltham

Detectives in Kirklees are appealing for information following a burglary in the early hours of Saturday morning (20/02).

The incident occurred at an address on Copley Avenue, Meltham between 4.30am and 6am when the victim, the 18-year-old male occupant of the property was alerted to the door. When he opened the door, 3 unknown suspects, 2 men and a woman pushed past him. The victim was assaulted, before personal items were stolen.

Suspect one is described as a white male, around 18 years old, 6ft tall of slim build and wearing dark clothing.

Suspect two is described as a white male, around 18 years old, 6ft tall of slim build.

Suspect three is described as a white female, around 17 years old, 5ft 6" tall, of slim build with brown curly shoulder length hair and wearing a dark coloured puffa jacket.

Detective Constable Simon Thomas of Huddersfield CID said; "The incident has taken place at the victims home, and clearly has been an upsetting experience. I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area around Copley Avenue in the early hours of Saturday morning and may have seen the suspects to come forward. I would also appeal to anyone who may have any information about this incident to speak to the police. Enquiries are ongoing."
