Appeal: Cyclist Seriously Injured in Collision, Lees Hall Road, Dewsbury

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured in a collision in Dewsbury yesterday (Wednesday, 16 July).

The collision happened shortly before 1.20pm on Lees Hall Road and involved a pedal cycle and a blue Volkswagen Passat.

The cyclist, a man in his 80s, was taken to Pinderfields Hospital where he continues to be treated for a serious arm injury.

Sergeant Rick Lyon, of the Western Area Safer Roads Team, said: "I would urge anyone who was in the area around the time of this collision and either saw the collision itself or the circumstances leading up to it to call either PC Warren Pickard or myself in the Western Area Safer Roads Team on 101."
