Appeal: Distinctive Items Stolen In Burglary, Adel.

North West Leeds police are appealing for information following a burglary at an elderly woman's home in Adel.

A number of distinctive items were taken in the raid and officers are keen to hear from anyone who has been offered the items for sale.

Thieves broke into the house in Farrar Lane, Adel, between 9.30am on Monday (23/7) and 8.30am on Tuesday while the victim was out.

Among the property taken was a pair of solid Malaysian silver candlesticks, twelve solid silver teaspoons, two solid silver shaker sets, assorted Masons china, a small irreplacable Coalport Egg, and nine decorative enamel boxes worth at least £100 each.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious at the time or who has any information relating to the property taken is asked to contact PC Sophie Barritt of the Proactive Crime Team at Belle Vue via the non-emergency number 101 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously and in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
