Appeal: Man Threatened With Baseball Bats, Dewsbury Moor

Wednesday, 27 August 2014

Police are searching for four teenagers who tried to rob a man by threatening him with baseball bats in a Dewsbury park.

The male victim was walking home through Crow Nest Park in Dewsbury Moor around 9pm on Friday 22nd August when he was approached by the group of teeangers, two of whom were carrying baseball bats.

One of the suspects demanded that the victim empty his pockets. At this point the victim pushed one of the suspects aside and ran off out of the park.

Detective Constable Richard Brooke from Huddersfield CID said: "This was an extremely frightening thing for the victim to have gone through, particularly as he was on his own.

“It was dark at the time so the man has unfortunately been unable to provide descriptions of the suspects.

"I would encourage anyone who may know who these individuals are, and anyone who may have any further information to contact me on 101, or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
