Appeal: Missing Man Andrew MacSparran From Leeds

Friday, 18 July, 2014

Police searching for a missing 38-year-old Leeds man have released a CCTV still of him as they appeal for the public's help to locate him.

Andrew MacSparran has been reported missing from his home in Leeds. The last contact he had with his family was on Sunday, 13 July, when he sent a text message to his brother. The CCTV still is of him in the Londis store on Harehills Lane, Leeds, at 11.35am on Wednesday 16th July 2014, when he purchased a packet of cigarettes.

He is described as a white man, between 6ft to 6ft 1ins tall, of medium build, with short, brown hair. He is long sighted and wears glasses for reading. He is described as usually wearing casual, smart clothes.

Detective Chief Inspector Lisa Atkinson, of Leeds District CID, said: "This is completely out of character for Andrew and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his wellbeing.

"Andrew has links to Rochdale, Liverpool and Brighton and it is possible he may have travelled to one of these areas.

"I would urge anyone who has seen a man matching his description or who has information about his whereabouts to call Leeds District CID on 101 as a matter of urgency. Similarly, I would urge Andrew himself to make contact with either the police or his family to confirm that he is safe and well."
