Appeal: Road Traffic Collision, Marsden, Huddersfield

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle in Marsden, near Huddersfield.

Kirklees Roads Policing officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident which took place at about 1.30am on Thursday February 28 on Meltham Road, Marsden.

It took place about 50 meters from the junction of Manchester Road after the rider of a Yamaha motorcycle mounted the pavement and collided with a dry stone wall.

The rider, a 26-year-old Huddersfield man, was taken to hospital with injuries which were serious but not thought to be life threatening.

Anyone who saw what happened should contact PC Andy Oversby at the Southern Hub Roads Policing Team on 101.
