Appeal: Robbery, Common Road, Batley

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery on Common Road in Batley.

The incident happened at 7.35pm on 11 June, when the complainant a 21 year old man, was walking on Common Road near the junction with Abbey Road, using his phone.

Two men who were walking behind him then approached him and demanded that he hand the phone over. After refusing the complainant was pushed to ground causing him to drop his phone. One of the men then picked it up and they made off from the scene.

The first suspect is described as a white man aged 19-25. He was 5ft 6"- 6ft tall and was of slim build. He was brown shaven hair and was wearing a hoodie.

The second suspect was also described as a white man aged 22-24. He was shorter than the other man and was of large build. He had long blond hair and was wearing a white jumper, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
