Police in Wakefield are appealing for witnesses following an assault on Friday evening (20/3)
An elderly gentleman was struck in the face by a suspect whilst stood in the Waggon and Horses Public House, Westgate End at around 8.55pm.
He received facial injuries following the incident which was captured on CCTV.
The gentleman was stood alone by the snooker table, when the suspect approached him shouting, then the assault took place. The suspect is then believed to have left with another male and female.
The suspect is described as white, medium build, in his mid 20's, approximately 5"8 tall, slim build with short black spiky hair, wearing a tight t-shirt and blue jeans. He may also have a sleeve of tattoos on his left arm.

CCTV Image of Suspect from Assault at Westgate EndPolice Sergeant Chris Raby of Wakefield Central Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "This unprovoked attack took place when the pub was busy and I am sure someone will have seen something, or will be able to identify the person in the CCTV."
