Appeal for Witnesses - Robbery, Ravenscliffe

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery on a 61 year old woman in the Ravenscliffe area of Bradford on Thursday 20th September 2012
At around 5.15pm, she was sat in the driver’s seat of her blue coloured Land Rover parked on Barham Terrace when two men opened her car door.
One of the men took hold of her bag, resulting in her head striking the inside of the car door frame and the bag strap snapping.
The men then made off with the bag down a path leading onto Bowness Avenue.
The bag is described as a zip up black faux leather handbag with buckles on the side.
It contained a bank cheque, about £500 cash an I-phone and several bank and store cards in the victim’s name.
The first suspect is described as white, approximately 5’10” tall of slim build wearing a waist length ‘anorak type’ coat which was silver or grey on the bottom half and black on the sleeves and top half.
The second man was also said to white, approximately 5’7” tall, of slim build and again appeared to be wearing a waist length ‘anorak type’ coat which was silver or grey on the bottom half and had black on the sleeves and top half.
Fortunately the victim suffered only minor injuries but was left shocked by the incident.
Detective Inspector Ryan Bragg of Airedale and North Bradford CID said:
"This was a cowardly offence against a lone female .I would urge any witnesses to this crime or anyone who has any information to contact Airedale and North Bradford CID on the non emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
