Appeal for Witnesses - Thefts in Sowerby Bridge
Friday 12 October, 2012
Police in Calderdale are appealing for information after two Hairdressers and Beauty Salons in the Sowerby Bridge area suffered thefts.
Two were targeted last week when two men of eastern European or Asian appearance went in into the premises.
The two started talking with staff and customers about the services on offer and booking appointments.
As the staff were distracted the suspects stood close to customers and then stole mobile phones belonging to staff and clients.
PC Jonathan Sutton of the Calderdale Central NPT is urging local business owners to get in touch if they see anything suspicious.
"If staff at any hairdressers or salons think that these men are present at their premises then we would advise them to contact police."
One of the suspects is described as being in his late 20s to early 30s and the other is thought to be aged in his mid to late 20s.
Both were wearing blue jeans and the younger man had white writing on them. They were both wearing dark T-shirts and had dark spiky hair and spoke with strong accents which could be difficult to understand
Enquiries into the burglaries remain on going and any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact PC Sutton at the Calderdale Central NPT on 01422 337115 or 101.
