CCTV Of Taxi Robbery Suspect, Leeds.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to identify in connection with the robbery of a taxi driver in Leeds.

robbery suspectThe 58-year-old victim picked up the suspect from Leeds train station and drove him to Heights Drive, Armley, where the man produced a knife and demanded cash. A struggle ensued and the driver received a cut to his hand. The suspect was disturbed by a passer-by and ran off.

The incident happened shortly after 1.30am on Sunday, December 27.

The suspect was described as white, aged 27 to 29, about 5ft 6ins tall and of stocky build. He had a Leeds accent and it is thought he may be local to the area where the incident occurred.
