Crime update for HOLME VALLEY SOUTH/NORTH for last seven days

 

Burglary Dwelling

There have been no Burglary dwellings in the last seven days in our area. 

Vehicle Crime

We have had a terrible week for vehicle crime with numerous offences in our area. 

There have been a spate of vehicle crimes on Mount View Road and Barracks Fold in Hepworth in the early hours of the 5th of March, At least two cars had items stolen from them and a motorbike was stolen from Barracks Fold at this time. The perpetrators were chased from the scene by a resident, due to the residents quick thinking stolen items were recovered near to the crime scene. The bike which was stolen was thankfully also recovered, this vehicle was also found by another good citizen who also acted promptly which allowed this vehicle to be recovered by the Police and be returned to its owner. 

There have also been a spate of vehicle crimes which took place between the 4th and the 5th of March 2013 on Sycamore Rise in New Mill.

Two vehicles were attacked but thankfully nothing was taken, other car owners were not so lucky. At least a further three vehicle were broken into and items were stolen from them. Out of all the vehicles attacked three of which were insecure. Valuable items such as Nat navs and lap tops were stolen. 

There have also been a further four vehicles which were attacked by criminals and had items stolen from them. These locations are also very close to Sycamore Rise in New Mill. The crimes took place in a similar time period.

A vehicle in Meltham also had items stolen from it at Weavers Court in Meltham. This crime took place between 04/03/2013 17:00 and the 05/03/2013 08:50.

 

Four vehicles were stolen in the Holme Valley North and South area in the last seven days. This includes the motorbike on Barracks Fold. 

Vehicles were stolen from Daleside Avenue in New Mill between the 5th and 6th of March. A motorbike was stolen from Town End Road in Holmfirth between the 1st and 2nd of March. The last vehicle was stolen from Brownhill Lane in Holmbridge. Between the 28th of February and the 3rd of March.

 

Please keep your car empty of any valuables. If you can please empty your car and leave glove compartments and centre consoles open. If there is nothing to steal the criminals will go else where.

 

Due to the increase in crime, patrols have been stepped up in the area.
