Police Reappeal Following Collision Which Caused Death Of Two-Year-Old Issac Brocklehurst, Shipley

Police have launched a fresh appeal for information following a fatal collision which resulted in the death of a 2-year-old Bradford boy.

The Major Collision and Enquiry Team (MCET) are continuing to appeal for information regarding the collision in Valley Road, Shipley, last week which tragically resulted in the death of Issac Brocklehurst February 23rd.

Officers have now issued a picture of Issac (pictured together with his mum Gemma Brocklehurst) who was in collision with a white Scania Tipper vehicle.

The infant is believed to have emerged into the carriageway from between parked vehicles

Sergeant Ann Drury of the Major Collision Enquiry Team said; "This has been a terrible incident which has resulted in the death of Issac at such a tragically young age.

"His family have been left devastated by the incident and we continue to appeal for witnesses as we investigate the circumstances of the collision.

"Anyone who saw the incident, or either Issac or the Tipper truck involved just beforehand, is asked to call the Major Collision and Enquiry Team (MCET) via 101."

The major collision enquiry team are continuing to investigate a fatal incident this afternoon in Bradford.

The incident occurred around 1.10pm on Valley Road, where a white Scania Tipper vehicle was in collision with a young boy.

The boy, who was pronounced dead at the scene is believed to have emerged in to the road between parked vehicles.

A number of road closures remain in place whilst specialist officers continue to examine the scene of the collision to determine the full circumstances of what took place.

Sergeant Ann Drury of the Major Collision Enquiry Team said; "Clearly, the scale and severity of this incident has caused significant disruption to commuters and the communities in Bradford, and I continue to thank people for their patience and understanding whilst we continue to conduct our investigation.

"I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area around 1.10pm this afternoon, and may have seen either the vehicle, or the young boy prior to the incident, or who witnessed the collision itself to come forward."

Police are investigating a fatal collision on Valley Road, Bradford that occurred around 1.10pm this afternoon. Motorists and the public are asked to avoid the area to allow for the investigation team to conduct their enquiries.

Major disruption is expected due to the number of road closures around Valley Road, Frizinghall Road and surrounding routes.
