    There have been two burglaries reported over the last week in Tyersal. Please remember to lock doors and windows and contact the police if you see any suspicious activity.

    A recent meeting at Tyersal Community Club with the Police and Council in attendance was held on the 2nd April 2014. Various local issues were discussed including a talk from the local environment officer regards to fly tipping around Tyersal area and other environment issues.

  • Swinnow Weekly Update

    The weekly crime statistics for Swinnow have been very good. Due to combined efforts from different policing departments and constant hi-visibility patrol, crime in the Swinnow area has been reduced.

    There have been a few calls in relation to youths causing a nuisance on Swinnow Lane. The police have increased patrols aro and have spoken to a number of youths.

    A male from the Farnley area has been arrested and charged for a burglary which occurred on Bawn Approach, three other people were arrested for handling stolen goods.

    PCSO Muftee attended the coffee morning on Wednesday 9th March at St Johns Church and mingled with the residents whilst enjoying a cup of tea! 

    On Saturday 12th April officers were made aware of three males smoking cannabis on the Asda car park. Officers promptly attended and detained these males, one admitted to possession of cannabis and received an official warning.

  • Calverley Weekly Update

    On Thursday 10th April PCSO 756 Muftee attended a coffee afternoon session at Brookleighs sheltered housing where he met the local residents.

    An operation is being organised to target the off road motorbikes in the Calverley and Ravenscliffe woods area in the very near future involving the Police off road motorcycle team and Leeds City Council.
