Divisonal Profile

City and Holbeck Division is at the heart one of Europe’s fastest growing cities and stretches to the district’s southern boundary incorporating Morley, Rothwell and surrounding villages.Leeds is a vibrant 24-hour city which is recognised as a major financial and business centre as well for its excellent shopping and nightlife.

The division covers a diverse area with a bustling business community featuring a strong and diverse economy.

Leeds is the largest financial centre outside of the capital and it has attracted a number of top class stores including 'Harvey Nichols' in Briggate.

The city centre has a massive transient population made up in the daytime of thousands of people travelling to the city to work and shop and at night time by thousands attracted to its pubs, clubs and restaurants as well as its theatres and music and entertainment venues.

City and Holbeck Division is home to one of the country’s leading teaching hospitals – Leeds General Infirmary, the renowned West Yorkshire Playhouse and the city’s football team Leeds United at its Elland Road ground. Morley, a busy market town, Rothwell and the White Rose Shopping Centre all fall within its boundaries as well as communities including Middleton, Belle Isle, Beeston, Drighlington, Gildersome and Methley.

Welcome to the Neighbourhood Policing Team website for City and Holbeck.
I am Chief Supt Mark Milsom, Divisional Commander.

It seems the Policing Pledge is already having a major impact in our communities because residents continue to turn out to our meetings to discuss policing priorities.
One priority that features regularly is anti-social behaviour and our Neighbourhood Policing Teams are already working hard to combat it in all its forms. This will continue in the run-up to 'Mischief Night' and Bonfire Night, and updates on this work will be available on your local NPT websites and at every meeting.
Now that the nights are drawing in I would advise residents to stay security conscious and ensure thieves and burglars remain locked out of your home. Other simple measures such as leaving a light on when you're out on an evening can also act as a deterrent, and more crime prevention advice can also be found on this website.
