Pat will be missed by his colleagues and the local communities he served. I'm sure you along with his colleagues at The Valleys NPT would like to wish him good luck in his well earned retirement.
Justice Done!
Following the horrific prolonged ordeal 2 young teenage females were subject to last October in Holmfirth, His Honour Judge Jonathan Durham Hall as taken the unusual step of naming and shaming their attackers.
Although we are unable to divulge further details surrounding the incident we are pleased on behalf of the young ladies who suffered this attack that justice has been done and add that this type of incident is thankfully extremley rare in our local community.

Good News only one reported burglary in Holmfirth area this week. The property was entered via an insecure door and vehicle keys were taken.
Please do not leave windows and doors insecure at any time. This only makes it easy for the burglar to get in.
Criminal Damage - Arrests made!
Following the recent spate of graffiti in and around Holmfirth, officers from The Valleys NPT having been working hard to try and identify those responsible for the criminal damage.
As a result of enquiries 5 youths have been arrested, questioned and will be dealt with accordingly.
It would appear that Victoria Park is still the place to be for young people gathering at the moment.
We have no problem with this providing it is used in a responsible manner.
This does not include drinking under age and damaging property. If anyone has any information regarding the youths causing damage in the park please call the NPT on tele no 01484436855

Shed and Garage Thefts Homeowners are urged not to give themselves a ' shedache ' this spring by making sure their out-buildings are secure.
Bicycles, power tools, lawn-mowers and fishing equipment are the top four items traditionally taken from shed and garage thefts, there is plenty which residents can do to secure them. The following measures if taken will make sheds and garages a harder target for thieves and may well put them off !
Check the fabric of a shed to make sure it is secure and free from decay.
Consider installing a strong grille or heavy wire mesh around windows to increase security.
Fit a quality lock, such as a closed shackle padlock and bolting the fittings to the door, with a steel panel fitted on the inside of the door.
Fit an energy efficient dusk-to-dawn light as this will deter thieves.
Postcode items stored in the shed and keep a record of any serial numbers.
Mark property whenever possible using a visible ink pen or paint to deter thieves.
Make sure the shed is always locked when left unattended and that any garden tools are put away safely inside.
Use a heavy duty chain to secure valuable items in a shed to make sure they are protected even if somebody does break in.
