Police are appealing for information following a serious road traffic accident which occurred this morning, on Harrogate Road near to the junction with Summerbridge Drive in the Ravenscliffe area.
At around 8.40, a Volkswagon Polo was travelling towards Apperley Bridge when the vehicle was in collision with a lamppost.
The 27 year old female driver was taken to the Bradford Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
She is now believed to be in a stable but poorly condition.
