The UK faces an ever increasing threat from Terrorism
The North East Counter Terrorism Unit (NE CTU) in Leeds is now recruiting staff in a wide variety of roles. This is a unique opportunity for police officers and staff to be part of the new approach to tackling terrorism in the UK.
Based at a state-of-the-art, covert facility in Leeds, the NE CTU brings together skilled and experienced professionals from across the country.
Alongside other Units in the UK, the NE CTU will pool specialist assets and resources to increase national counter terrorism capability. It will also provide a proactive and reactive response to counter terrorism issues, including the prevention and disruption of terrorist activity and the tracking and prosecution of those involved.

Please note that all successful candidates will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment. Due to security requirements you must be a British citizen and eligible to hold a British Passport in order to work in the NE CTU. You should not discuss your application with anyone other than your immediate family and those signing your application form.
A relocation package is available to both Police officers and staff, subject to eligibility.
Police officers may elect to transfer to West Yorkshire Police with a guaranteed option to transfer back to their previous force for an agreed period subject to the agreement of both forces.
Applications are particularly welcomed from suitably qualified women who are currently under represented in the CTU.
