Sponsorship Arrangements with Business
Income Generation is defined as sponsorship, donations, trading and external funding (grants). The Force operates its income generation activity in accordance with Force Policy and the ACPO Guide to Income Generation a document commissioned by the Home Office which has all pertinent terms, actions, provisions and legislative authorisations fully outlined.
The key aims of West Yorkshire Police are to:
- Strengthen existing and develop new relationships with our partners
- Engage and develop our partnerships with the business community
- Support and develop our engagement with the voluntary and community sector
The type of grants that we benefit from includes Home Office funding and grants allocated through the Local Area Agreement (LAA) process in each of the 5 Districts of West Yorkshire.
Our partnerships with the business community include opportunities for sponsorship and activity that supports us with our policing objectives, an example of this is businesses including crime prevention advice on their newsletters or websites.
To support our engagement with the voluntary and community sector, we provide information and advice to our officers and staff on where groups can apply for funding to help keep West Yorkshire a safe place.

Gender Pay Gap
Gender Pay reporting legislation requires employers with 250 or more employees to publish statutory calculations each year, showing what the pay gap is between male and females within their organisation. Please see this link for further information.
