'Get a Crime Update' (formerly known as Local Crime Tracker) is an online service provided by West Yorkshire Police that allows you to quickly and easily check the status of a previously reported crime - it allows you to keep updated with the status of your crime, view details of the officer in the case and contact the officer if you require an update.

West Yorkshire Police Designing Out Crime Officers (DOCO’s), liaise with the Local Authority Planning Officers, Architects, Developers and Agents to design out crime and reduce opportunities for crime and ASB (anti-social behaviour). Our Design Out Crime Officers (DOCO's) in each of the five districts are embedded in their local authorities playing a major part in the future of community safety within the Force area. The policing of wildlife crime is a specialist subject. West Yorkshire Police have appointed Wildlife Crime Officers (WCOs) who, along with their normal duties, volunteer to investigate wildlife offences as well as linked crime types such as rural crime, plant theft (heavy machinery) and Heritage crime which includes theft from religious and historic sites
