WYPSA provides advice and support to all members and acts as a conduit between the Sikh community and the police force.

The West Yorkshire Black Police Association (WYBPA) sits under the umbrella of National Black Police Association (NBPA). The NBPA was set up after the Macpherson Report 1999, and WYBPA provides an advisory support service to West Yorkshire Police. The NBPA has been part of influential Policing consultations with the Home Office, NPCC, HMICFRS, Home Affairs Select Committee and other parliamentary inquiries.

The Force Planning Unit is a specialist department within the Protective Services Operations Division based at Carr Gate, Wakefield. Its role is to deal with all aspects of emergency planning both planned & spontaneous and to manage the logistical requirements of the Force in relation to all major, operational events and contingencies.
Founded in 1883, the Christian Police Association (CPA) is a national organisation and has links with similar groups across the world and depends on charitable giving to sustain it. Membership is open to all staff in the police service who profess a personal Christian faith.
