Recruitment Events

West Yorkshire Police is committed to recruiting from under-represented communities as we believe that a more diverse workforce will allow us to become more effective in preventing and reducing crime, keeping people safe and caring for victims.

We are currently under-represented by people from Ethnic Minority backgrounds and so are encouraging people from these groups to apply to become Police Officers or members of Police Staff.

If you are from one of these groups please see our list of events below which you can attend to find out more about the roles and for information on how to apply.

We have both online and in person events which give information and advice on applying for the different opportunities available. Please scroll down to see the full list of events and find out which one is right for you.

If you are from one of our under-represented groups and would like to apply without attending an event please complete our expression of interest online form or email – [email protected] for more information.

West Yorkshire Police is committed to attracting diversity at all levels of the organisation. We believe that having a more diverse workforce with different experiences and perspectives, who come from a wide range of communities, will allow us to become more effective in preventing and reducing crime, keeping people safe and caring for victims, as well as continue to help develop a more inclusive culture as detailed within the Force Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Strategy.

As part of our Diversity, Equality and Inclusion strategy, we use Positive Action as a tool to help address under representation within our workforce.
