Following the implementation of more stringent measures to stop the spread of coronavirus, all Police and Community Together (PACT) / community meetings have been cancelled until further notice.

The public can be reassured that we are committed to doing everything we can to ensure their safety amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Neighbourhood Priorities

Bingley

  • Deal with on-going reports of street dealing in Myrtle Park and the surrounding residential streets. Work with the community developing and taking action on reports and intelligence received.
  • Address and deal positively with ASB in Bingley Town Centre and the 5 Rise Shopping Complex. Though working in partnership with local business, council to achieve sustainable results.
  • Reduce residential burglaries, working in conjunction with partner agencies and increasing NHW schemes/community awareness.

Bingley Rural

  • Address the anti-social use of motor vehicles on our rural roads. Police monitoring and  enforcement as well as partnership working with local authority regarding street layout and speed restriction. Casualty reduction partnership regarding mobile speed camera patrols. Aiming for sustainable solution.
  • Address concerns raised regarding speeding, specifically Denholme and Cottingley. Police monitoring and  enforcement as well as partnership working with local authority regarding street layout and speed restriction. Aiming for sustainable solution. Casualty reduction partnership regarding mobile speed camera patrols, working with local schools regarding eductaion campaign for students and parents.
  • Reduce residential burglaries, working in conjunction with partner agencies and increasing NHW schemes/community awareness.

Shipley / Saltaire

  • Work together with Business Watch and Local Partners to tackle shop theft in Shipley Town Centre.
  • Deal positively with ASB and begging in Shipley, again working together with Business Watch and Local Partners.
  • Address and deal positively with ASB and street level drug dealing in and around Roberts Park. Working with partners to identify and deal positively with offenders. Looking to long term sustainable solutions through physical changes to highlighted problem areas.

Baildon

  • Address concerns raised by local residents regarding speeding, utilising partnership awareness campaigns, Police monitoring and enforcement.  Longer term street furniture or layout changes in partnership with local authority if deemed justified.
  • Reduce residential burglaries, working in conjunction with partner agencies and increasing NHW schemes/community awareness.

Windhill and Wrose

  • Tackle the anti-social use of motor vehicles, specifically off road bikes and quads. Utilising Police specialist units, local authority partnership regarding restricting access to identified hotspots. Dealing positively with offenders.
  • Attack criminality and disrupt organised crime through pro-active policing operations in conjunction with our partners.

Wharfedale

  • Address and deal positively with ASB in Burley and Menston parks. Working with partners to identify and deal positively with offenders. Looking to long term sustainable solutions through physical changes to highlighted problem areas.
  • Deal with on-going reports of street dealing in and around Burley and Menston parks. Working with partners to identify and deal positively with offenders. Looking to long term sustainable solutions through physical changes to highlighted problem areas.
  • Reduce residential burglaries, working in conjunction with partner agencies and increasing NHW schemes/community awareness.
