Local Priorities

In Calderdale local partnership priorities are set at the six weekly Safer, Cleaner, Greener meeting. This meeting brings partners from Police, Fire, Health, Calderdale Council and local councillors, together to tackle local issues.

Each Safer Cleaner Greener area has a lead Police Sergeant and Police Officer who leads on problem solving. They are supported by other officers, PCSO's Police Staff and partnership resources.

Local Priorities

Lower Valley

Covering the wards of Brighouse, Elland, Greetland & Stainland, Hipperholme & Lightcliffe, Northowram & Shelf and Rastrick.

Work in partnership to keep people safe - engage, explain, encourage and enforce the current COVID 19 legislation

We will work in conjunction with other partners in a joint approach to the deployment of resources across the Lower Valley. We will aim to provide clear promotion of the Government guidelines of which you can find out more information on www.gov.uk. We will be focusing on high footfall areas and dispersing inappropriate numbers of gathering people. Should you have further information on people breaching restrictions - report here

Road Safety throughout the Lower Valley

We will work in conjunction with others partners in a joint approach to the deployment of resources throughout the Lower Valley. Undertake proactive patrols of the area, partnership deployment of Speed Indication Devices (SID) and work with the road safety delivery group to deploy enforcement resources. We will be focusing on speeding in the Rastrick area.

Drug misuse throughout the Lower Valley

We will work in conjunction with others partners in a joint approach to proactively gather intelligence and take action on reports and intelligence received. 

 

Upper Valley

Covering the wards of Calder, Luddendenfoot, Ryburn, Sowerby Bridge and Todmorden

To tackle in increased use of illegal off road bikes in the Upper Valley

We will work in conjunction with our partners in a joint approach to the deployment of resources throughout the Upper Valley by tackling and disrupting offenders, undertaking proactive patrols of the area. Have targeted days of action and promote the issue and action taken

Road Safety throughout the Upper Valley

We will work in conjunction with others partners in a joint approach to the deployment of resources throughout the Upper Valley. Undertake proactive patrols of the area, partnership deployment of Speed Indication Devices (SID) and work with the road safety delivery group to deploy enforcement resources. We will be focusing on pavement parking in the Hebden Bridge area.

 

*Due to the current COVID 19 restrictions, priorities are been set based on concerns raised with police and may not have gone through the existing Safer, Cleaner, Greener process.
