Neighbourhood Priorities

Armley (Set 20/09/2021)

Lead Area Sergeant: PS 860 Craven
Lead Area Problem Solving Officers: PC 6070 Havercroft; PC 4021 Armstrong

Tackle anti-social behaviour and street drinking on Town Street. Increasing visible Police patrols and working with partners at LASBT to reinforce ASB Legislation. To work with Street Outreach and addiction services to support change. We will also work alongside Youth Services to support changes and diversionary activities with youths.

To deal with on-going street level drug dealing. We will action and develop community-based intelligence to deter and disrupt offending. Please ring 101 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111 or crimestoppers-uk.org.

To promote Road Safety relating to the anti-social use of cars and motor bikes in the area by Conducting Road Safety Operations with partners at Operational Support and DVLA and VOSA using legislation to tackle Anti-social driving.


Bramley (Set 10/09/2021)

Lead Area Problem Solving Officers: PC 2027 Birkby, PC 5002 Errington; PC 1502 Carter

To target Anti-Social Vehicle use, speeding and inconsiderate parking in and around identified hot spot areas within the Bramley area. Deployments are community intelligence driven. Positive action will be taken where possible regarding driving offences and high visibility officers will be utilised.

To disrupt and engage with nuisance youths at the Bramley shopping centre, particularly utilising Misuse of Drugs and Anti-Social Behaviour legislation. Officers will be conducting regular high visibility patrols in the area and will engage with attendees where possible, utilizing a multi-agency approach to help divert offending and offenders.

To tackle the use of off-road bikes and quads being ridden within the Bramley area. Relevant legislation will be utilised when possible to remove bikes from the road. Positive action will be taken against repeat offenders through use of section 59 legislation and/or prosecution for traffic offences.


Kirkstall (Set 01/10/2021)

Lead Area Sergeant: PS 142 Edkins

Lead Area Problem Solving Officers: PC 1625 Langford, PC 6824 Khan 

To tackle theft of motor vehicles, including motorcycles and associated burglary offences in the area by proactively targeting offenders and conducting high visibility patrols in the area. This will be supported by the provision of education for residents, limiting the offenders opportunity to commit the offences.

To reduce and prevent the antisocial use of motorcycle and related crime. NPT are working with partners to reduce access to land and routes. In addition, police will conduct operations and actively target repeat offenders using road traffic law and seizures.

To tackle anti-social behaviour at Kirkstall Shopping Centre. We will conduct high visibility patrols and increase communication with the stores.  In addition, police will utilise powers to actively prevent repeat offenders from attending the area.



Lead area Sergeant: PS 5303 Smith

Lead Area Problem Solving Officers: PC 2928 Hance, PC 6152 Smith

To disrupt and engage with nuisance youths in the Town Centre. Officers have incorporated problem areas into their patrol plans and repeat offenders will be dealt with robustly and ensuring that additional police powers are used to prevent and deter individuals from re attending the area.

To tackle residential Burglary. We will do this by proactively targeting those involved in burglaries, carry out hi-visibility patrols in identified areas and provide crime prevention advice to residents.

To tackle anti-social vehicle use, and speeding in and around identified hot spot areas within the Pudsey area. Deployments are community intelligence driven. Positive action will be taken where possible regarding driving offences and high visibility officers will be utilised.


Farnley and Wortley

Lead Area Sergeant: T/PS 1685 Crook

Lead Area Problem Solving Officers: PC 5187 Wightman

Antisocial behaviour on the Whincovers/Butterbowl area. This can be targeted not only by high visibility patrols but also by deploying additional police powers to prevent this behaviour. We will also target offenders by using partners who are often the recipients.

ASB & Drug dealing on the Heights. We will continue to target individual offenders whilst encouraging members of the public to report information and increasing our effectiveness to target offenders.

Speeding on Whitehall Road & parking issues when Leeds United play at home. Utilising partners, councils and specialist police departments to conduct visible operations to deter and educate offenders.


Calverley and Farsley

Lead Area Sergeant: PS 1344 Stead

Lead Area Problem Solving Officers: PC 2928 Hance

To target the use of anti-social, off road motorcycles and quad bikes in Calverley & Ravenscliffe Woods, by working in Partnership with Bradford East NPT, Operation Steerside & Leeds Off Road Bike Team. Officers will utilise Anti-Social Behaviour & Road Traffic legislation in a zero tolerance enforcement style.

To target speeding & anti-social motorists on Bradford Road from Dawson’s Corner to Thornbury Roundabout, by conducting hi visibility patrols of the road and the deployment of Pro Laser to capture & deter offending.

To tackle residential burglaries by conducting hi visibility patrols, targeting & disrupting known offenders and delivering of crime prevention advice to residents.
