Appeal After Cyclist Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries, Wakefield

Roads policing officers are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Wakefield in which a male cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries. 

The collision happened shortly after 4:55pm yesterday (3/9) and involved an electric-powered bicycle which was in collision with a lamppost on a footpath on the A6194 Neil Fox Way in Wakefield. No other vehicles were involved. 

The male, aged in his 60s, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.
