Appeal after cyclist suffers serious head injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was knocked to the ground by a black Seat type car at 9pm on Wednesday 25 March 2020 on Spencer Place, near Roundhay Road, Leeds.

The cyclist – a 32-year-old man – was left with serious head injuries and is currently being treated at Leeds General Infirmary.

Despite momentarily stopping, the car left the scene without the driver helping the injured man.

The cyclist had been heading along Spencer Place, towards Roundhay Road, when the collision happened.

It is believed the car will have sustained damage to the area around its fog lights.

Police are urgently appealing for anyone who saw the collision happen, may know the identity of the car driver or black Seat type car, or may have Dashcam of CCTV footage which could help the investigation to get in touch.
