Appeal: Assault, Clayton West, Kirklees

Police have issued descriptions of two men they would like to speak to following an assault and an attempt theft in Clayton West.

It happened in a wooded area off Litherop Lane sometime between 5.30pm and 5.50pm on Saturday, 27 June.

One of the men is described as white, between 30-40 years old and of muscular build. He was about six feet tall and had a shaved head with a round face.

He was wearing what was described as a dark sports shirt and black shorts.

The second man was also white and believed to be between 40-50 years old, and of slim build.

He was said to be about 5ft 10ins tall and was wearing glasses, blue tracksuit bottoms and top. 

Demands were made for property and the victim, who was kicked in the assault, ran off towards Litherop Lane to get help.

Police patrols have been increased in the area and anyone with information which may be able to assist is asked to contact police at Holmfirth on 101 or use the contact options on the West Yorkshire Police website.
