Appeal: Fail to Stop Collision, Field Street, Ravensthorpe

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in a fail to stop collision in Dewsbury.

Police were called at 4.46pm on Sunday 28 April, to Field Street, Ravensthorpe to a report of a man with serious injuries.

He is believed to have been involved in collision with a white BMW X5 car.

The man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition.

Enquiries are ongoing to trace those involved, in what police believe was a targeted incident.

Detective Inspector Diane Johnson, of Kirklees District CID, said: “We are appealing for witnesses to this incident in which we believe suspects in the car drove at the victim who was targeted by them.

“He was seriously injured but is in a stable condition, and we are conducting enquiries to build a fuller picture regarding the nature of this incident.”
