Appeal: Robbery, Bingley

Police are appealing for information following a robbery in Bingley.


At about 11pm on Saturday, 30 September a woman in her fifties was walking along Keighley Road, when someone grabbed her handbag from behind, close to the junction with Evergreen Walk.


The victim grabbed the strap to prevent it from being taken, but the suspect managed to pull the bag away from her and run off towards the town centre.


The victim was unhurt.


The suspect is believed to be a male of average height who was wearing a woolly hat.


Enquiries are continuing into this incident which is not thought to be linked to the robbery of an elderly female in Bradford.
