Appeal: Serious Collision Involving Pedestrian, Leeds

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Leeds involving a lorry and a pedestrian.

At about 10.15am today (Friday), a Dennis refuse wagon was travelling along Kirkstall Road away from the city centre, when it was in collision with a woman close to the fire station.

Enquiries are ongoing to identify the woman, who suffered serious head injuries and remains in hospital at this time.

Any witnesses to the collision, or the movements of the woman or the lorry immediately prior to it, is asked to contact PC 6042 Gibson at the Eastern Roads Policing Unit on 101 or by using the contact options on the West Yorkshire Police website.

Anyone with dash cam or mobile phone footage which can assist the investigation is also asked to get in touch, quoting log reference 438 of 30 October.
