Appeal: Serious Road traffic Collision Manchester Road, Huddersfield

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision on Manchester Road in Huddersfield earlier today (Tuesday 16 April.)

Officers were called at 9.30am to Manchester Road to reports of two cars in collision.

A Vauxhall Corsa was turning right towards the Wickes Superstore when it was in collision with a Mercedes Sprinter Minibus.

A 45 year old man who was a passenger in the Vauxhall Corsa was taken to Leeds General Infirmary in a critical condition, the male driver suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Mercedes Sprinter Minibus a 39 year old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drug driving and he remains in police custody.
