Appeal To Trace Dog Owner In Leeds

Police are appealing for information to identify the owner of a dog which is reported to have bitten a woman as she ran in Harehills Park, Leeds.

The woman was jogging through the park with a friend at about 1.50pm on Sunday 15 November 2020.

She ran past a man walking a small white dog, possibly a Staffordshire bull terrier or similar breed, which was one a long white lead.

As she ran past, the dog jumped up at her and bit her leg, causing an injury for which she sought hospital treatment.

The dog owner did enquire after her at the time of the incident but the woman failed to get his details and she later reported the incident.

The man is asked to make contact with West Yorkshire Police.

He is described as white, aged 25 to 40, about 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build and with short, brown hair. He was with two young children, aged about 4 or 5-years-old.
