Armed Robbery On Bookmakers, Bradford

Police investigating an armed robbery on a bookmakers in Bradford are appealing for information on a stolen vehicle which is believed to have been used in the offence.

The vehicle, a dark blue Citroen DS4 hatchback, is believed to have been used by the suspects for the robbery, which happened at the premises in Duckworth Grove at around 8.50am on Monday, 20 November.

It was stolen in a burglary in Halifax in early November and was found abandoned in the Heaton area last weekend.

Further enquiries revealed it was on false plates at the time it was found.

Detective Inspector Ryan Bragg, of Bradford District CID, said:

“We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen this vehicle in the Bradford area recently, or anyone who may have further information about its use since it was stolen.”

Police have also released images of the suspects who took around £2,000 cash in the raid before running off towards Smith Lane. 

They are described as Asian males and were believed to be carrying hammers.

No injuries were reported.
