More than 60 arrests have been made in the last four months coordinated by Bradford South’s Neighbourhood Policing Team to target crime and anti-social behaviour in the area.
The arrests were for a range of offences including drugs, criminal damage and theft.
In that period 9 cannabis farms have been dismantled and 59 vehicles seized.
This is all part of the work of the Holme Wood Community Safety Partnership which through working with partners aims to make the area a better and safer place to live.
Inspector Andy Thornton of Bradford’s South Neighbourhood Policing Team said:
“These arrests are key in our commitment to tackling crime and anti-social behaviour in the area.
“We want people living in Holme Wood to feel confident we are listening to their concerns and taking positive action.
“We continue to appeal to the community to come forward with information either through reporting it to the police via 101 or the report it options on the website or using Crimestoppers to do it anonymously.
“I hope these arrests send a clear message to people involved in crime that it will not be tolerated and we will make the area a better and safer place for everyone.”
