Can you light it up? We're recruiting for Blue Light Champions

Today (Thursday 22 February) saw the launch of a Leeds pilot project, recruiting voluntary Blue Light Champions who will work in schools to deliver important educational inputs that will safeguard children and young people.

Working in partnership with West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service & Yorkshire Ambulance Service, we are looking for a new team of Blue Light Champions to support the work of Emergency Services (Police, Fire, and Ambulance).

This is an ideal role for someone looking to gain experience in education, public speaking, and social action. The position is unpaid however travel expenses will be covered.

To apply for this role, you must be over the age of 18 and be able to commit to 4 hours per week.

We are looking for highly motivated confident individuals, with experience in communicating and presenting to audiences. You will also be able to work flexibly as part of a team.

All Blue Light Champions will be given a personal mentor to help them on their journey.
