CCTV Appeal, Sexual Assault, Southgate, Huddersfield

Detectives are releasing a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a sexual assault in Huddersfield.

The incident happened on Sunday 23 June between 2:45 and 4am on Southgate in Huddersfield.

The male suspect approached a 33-year-old woman as she was getting off a train in Huddersfield and they walked towards McDonalds before walking out of the town centre.

As they were walking, the male suspect grabbed the woman and sexually assaulted her in a doorway. The suspect then picked up the woman’s bag and phone and walked off.

The suspect was described as white male, with olive skin, late 30s, around 5ft 7” and slim build. He was wearing black slim fit jeans, dark coloured top, black woolly hat and black Nike trainers.
