E-fit Appeal: Burglary, Wiggan Lane, Huddersfield
Friday, 15 March 2019
Police have released an e-fit image of a man officers would like to trace in connection with a bogus burglary in Huddersfield on 27 February.
The incident happened between 5pm and 5.45pm at a residential property on Wiggan Lane.
The suspect knocked on the door of the property and said he was there to work on the house’s water pipes.
The victim, an 82-year-old woman, let the suspect into the property and he began working in the kitchen.
While the woman was in the kitchen with the male, a second suspect entered the property and went upstairs and carried out a search.
The male then spoke to the woman to say the work was done, before making off with jewellery and money.
The second male is described as white, in his 40s and with a chubby face. He had a black, bushy beard and black, curly hair with a fringe.
Anyone with information or anyone who recognises the man in the e-fit is asked to contact police on 101 or using the 101 online chat, quoting reference 13190107133.
