Further Update: Murder, Pinderfields Road, in Wakefield

Detectives have charged four more people in connection with the murder of Aleksander Pawlak in Wakefield.

Maciaj Solarz, 27, of Alma Road, Southampton, Adam Litwinowicz, 23, of Alma Road, Southampton, Michal Lukarz Symanski, 23, of St Denys Road, Southampton and Karolina Kukawska, 20, of St Denys Road, Southampton are all charged with murder.

They will appear at Leeds Magistrates Court this morning (17 September).

Detectives have charged a man in connection with the murder on Pinderfields Road in Wakefield last week.

Officers were called shortly after midnight on Monday 9 September to reports of a man seriously injured on Pinderfields Road.

Aleksander Pawlak, aged 30, from Wakefield, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Three men, aged 23, 23 and 27, and a woman aged 20, were arrested in Southampton on suspicion of murder over the weekend. They all remain in custody.

Another male, Marceli Szymanski, aged 19, of Mallards Road, Bursledon, has now been charged with murder and will appear at Leeds Magistrates Court today (16 September).

Enquiries remain ongoing.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses following a murder in Wakefield on Monday morning.

Police were called shortly after midnight on 9 September to reports of a man seriously injured on Pinderfields Road.

Emergency services were deployed to the scene and the man was pronounced deceased.

Formal identification has now taken place and police are able to name the man as Aleksander Pawlak, 30, from Wakefield

Three males were arrested on Monday in connection with this incident and have been released pending further investigation.

Enquiries remain ongoing.
