Image Appeal: Car Sought In Connection With Stabbing, Bradford

Police investigating an incident where a man presented at hospital with serious injuries have released an image of a vehicle they would like to trace.

The vehicle, a five door black Volkswagen Golf hatchback, was last seen close to the Bradford Royal Infirmary in the early hours of 9 April. 

The vehicle, which at the time had the registration plate SJ62 0ZP, is believed to have taken the injured man to hospital. 

The 32-year-old is believed to have suffered his injuries in an earlier incident in the car park of Manningham Library.

A 34-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent and is due to appear before Bradford magistrates today.

Detective Inspector Claire Smith, of Bradford District CID, said:

“We are keen to locate this vehicle as we believe it will be crucial to our enquiries.

“We are also keen to speak to a man who assisted the driver with putting the victim into the car, as well as anyone else who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the Carlisle Road area between 12am and 12.30am on 9 April.”
