A Huddersfield man and woman have today been found guilty of the murder of Sebastian Kalinowski

Agnieszka Kalinowska (35) and Andrezej Latoszewski (38) both of Leeds Road, Huddersfield were found guilty of the murder of Sebastian Kalinowski (15) today ( 22 July).

Emergency services were called to their property on Leeds Road on August 13 2021 after Sebastian was found unresponsive.

He was taken to hospital where it was confirmed he had died.  Both defendants were arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of murder.

DCI Tony Nicholson of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, who led the investigation, said:  “We welcome the verdict of the jury in the case today and appreciate they have sat some very through harrowing evidence in what has been a lengthy and difficult court process.

“Detectives and partners in the CPS firmly believe that the charge of murder truly reflected the physical abuse Latoszewski and  Kalinowska inflicted on Sebastian, and we are pleased they have been found guilty of this offence.

“We await their sentencing and our thoughts are with Sebastian’s relatives in Poland.”
