Man In Court Charged With Murder, Dewsbury Road, Leeds

A man has appeared in court today charged with murder in relation to the death of a man in Leeds last week.

Kearon Barker, aged 30, of Cardinal Crescent, Beeston, Leeds, appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court this morning (17/12) charged over the death of Keith Harrower, who was also known as Joshua French, who died after being stabbed in an incident outside the Premier supermarket, in Dewsbury Road, Beeston, shortly before 5.30pm on Thursday, December 12.

Barker, who has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, was remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court tomorrow (18/12).

A 33-year-old man, who was arrested in Leeds on Sunday (15/12) on suspicion of murder, remains in custody.

Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Leeds have released his identity.

Keith Harrower, who was also known as Joshua French, was pronounced dead in hospital after being stabbed in an incident outside the Premier supermarket, in Dewsbury Road, Beeston, shortly before 5.30pm on Thursday, December 12.

A 33-year-old man was arrested in Leeds yesterday (15/12) on suspicion of his murder. He remains in custody along with a 30-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday.

A 35-year-old man, who was also arrested on Friday on suspicion of murder, has been released without charge.

A 36-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of earlier linked offences of aggravated burglary and robbery has been released on bail.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder in relation to the death of man in Leeds.

The men, aged 30 and 35, were arrested this morning in connection with the death of a 40-year-old man who was pronounced dead in hospital after being stabbed during an incident outside the Premier supermarket, in Dewsbury Road, Beeston, shortly before 5.30pm yesterday (12/12).

A 36-year-old man was also arrested this morning on suspicion of earlier linked offences of aggravated burglary and robbery. All three remain in custody.

Detectives from West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man’s death and a number of scenes remain in place in the area to undergo forensic examination.

Police have launched a murder enquiry after a man was stabbed in Leeds.

Officers were called to an address on Dewsbury Road at 530pm to reports of a man having been stabbed.

Police attended and a man aged 40 was taken to hospital. He has since died.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and any witnesses are asked to call police on 101 quoting log 1299 of today (Thursday 12 December).
