Two men have been jailed for more than 20 years after a gun was fired inside a house in Leeds during an argument which resulted in a neighbouring property’s window being smashed.
Three firearms ranges will allow live fire training and exercises supported by the latest technology.
The West Yorkshire Police Firearms, Shot Guns and Explosives Licensing Unit is based at Police Headquarters in Wakefield and is responsible for managing all aspects of the licensing of firearms and explosives including the issue of certificates, gun clubs, firearms dealers and permits within the West Yorkshire Police area.

A man and woman have been jailed for murdering a man in Bradford.
Stephen Kershaw, 65 was reported missing on 13 September by a concerned family member who hadn’t seen him, he was found dead in his bedroom alcove at his home address on 16 September.

A man has been jailed for a burglary which led to people being evacuated from their homes in Bradford.
Kyle Butters was jailed today (Friday) at Bradford Crown Court after he pleaded guilty to his involvement in the offence on April 12 last year.

Craig Lamb ( 43) from Birstall was jailed at Leeds Crown Court on April 20 after being convicted of a robbery offence in February this year.

A Dewsbury man who committed a series of robberies has been given an extended jail sentence.
Ibrar Ul-Haq (22) from Ravensthorpe was sentenced to six years with an extended three year licence period at Leeds Crown Court yesterday ( Thursday June 15), making for a nine year sentence.
